Dear Reader, When I first revealed my work on constellations, a colleague shared with me how it resonated with the book she was reading, Orbital by Samantha Harvey. Naturally, my curiosity led me to dive into this novel about the daily life of astronauts on the International Space Station orbiting Earth. Immersed in this universe that propelled me into space and gave me a vertiginous view of our existence and our planet, I realized how important it is to change our perspective. To celebrate the summer solstice, I invite you to take an unfamiliar point of view - any view. For my part, I'm contemplating the map of the sky from the point of view of the southern hemisphere, where the darkest and coldest days of the year are now unfolding. Somewhere on earth or in the universe, there is always another reality. And each reality is always so fleeting. I hope my message brings you a little levity and inspiration. Daily moments of inspiration lead to a rich life full of meaning. What do you do on a daily basis to be inspired? I invite you to think about it and, if you feel like it, to share it with me by hitting reply. Have a happy summer solstice! carolina Humankind is not this nation or that, it is all together, always together come what may. Samantha Harvey in Orbital |

Dear Reader, As promised, I am sending you news about my installation Au fil des connexions / Over Connections at the Cambridge Art Galleries. If you missed my last message, I created my largest textile installation for an exhibition entitled Parallèles : Forces féminines éclipsées (Paralèlles: Unseen Feminine Forces), which opened earlier this month. Curated by Alix Voz, it includes works by “three artists who have distinct practices but highlight the feminine forces that are often...
Dear Reader, I am so excited to present the biggest immersive textile art installation I have made so far! It is the second version of Over Connections. Made with yarn and triple the scale than the previous one, it is meant to give a tangible and embodied experience of interconnectivity both as an extension of our physical abilities and as a constriction of our physical life. More than a visual piece of art, this installation is made for visitors to touch, feel and wear, their presence being...
Dear Reader, Something I have been working on for over six months and haven't shared at all - there is only so much one can do - is the building of a new version of Over Connections, a fully immersive multi-sensorial knitted sculptural installation. This is going to be the largest installation I have brought to life so far! I am so excited to bring this piece to life and have people interact with it. I want to acknowledge that this would not have been possible without Zia Foley who diligently...
